Stephon J. Boatwright

Political Science Educator / Dreamer

Greetings and thank you for visiting my page. I am Stephon Boatwright, a political scientist and educator with Lehman College in the Bronx neighborhood of New York City. My scholarly pursuits revolve around the realms of political violence, radical movements, American politics, and constitutional law. I also proudly serve as a National Geographic certified high school history teacher in the charming town of Williamstown, Vermont.

Beyond academia, my work is dedicated to the preservation of Earth's wild landscapes and the defense of human rights both domestically and internationally. I am an active member of Human Rights Campaign, the Sierra Club, ACLU-VT, Amnesty International, and others working in the pursuit of justice and freedom. Through political organizing, I find myself at the forefront of the nation's most pivotal debates, forging relationships with policymakers and bringing more citizens into the democratic process.

My personal passion lies in the exploration of every corner of our vast world. Having traveled to all 50 states and numerous nations spanning four continents, I am fueled by the adventure of the unknown. An avid mountaineer and hiker, I capture my adventures through the lens of camera and film, a selection of which is featured below. My next adventure involves exploring all the nations of Europe and the Americas.

I am always looking for likeminded individuals and institutions to collaborate with on personal and professional goals and projects, and would be thrilled to work with you.

Cheers!
